Diana Kimball

Secretary

Diana has a deep passion for genealogy. She has been researching the histories of the Jackson, Kimball, McClure, Middleton, Spencer, Wilson, and Yates families. She attended Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) and the University of Kentucky.

Diana is a Kentucky Colonel and also serves as secretary for the Uttingertown Missionary Baptist Church and as the Recordress for Ismid Court No. 64. She has worked with the Fayette County Clerk’s Office on the Digital Access Project (DAP) since 2024. Diana has been an AAGGKY member since 2012.

Our Mission
Our focus is on preserving Kentucky African-ancestral family history, genealogy, and cultural diversity by teaching research techniques and sharing information within the community.
Genealogy Research
We specifically aim to help individuals research and document their African American ancestry.
Community Outreach
Our education events and webinars strive to spread knowledge about African American genealogy throughout the community.
Education
By focusing on aspects of research unique to the Black Community, the AAGGKY provides a venue for researchers and historians, both black and white, to share their strategies and findings.
Membership
Membership is inclusive and open to all interested in researching, preserving, and sharing information about Kentucky’s African American generations.
